REVIEWS

A fantastically fun, heartwrenching, and relatable story. I loved every minute of my time with Cecilia, Elijah, and Albion. The characters are engaging, the plot is well-designed, and the romance is so sweet. I also enjoyed the nods to real-world historical events, and how those events shaped the characters and story.

THE ART OF CHOICE

As someone who impatiently awaited the Vows of Albion since it was first announced, I can safely say this book did not disappoint. This well-paced and well-written novel, full of decadent descriptions detailed enough to transport one into the heart of Regency Bath’s social season, provides the satisfying and well-deserved ending to the Rose of Lisbon.

THE VOWS OF ALBION

A beautiful story, sure to soften even the most callous of hearts. It is a tale of redemption, second (third, fourth, and fifth) chances, and a sweet romance that will fill your tummy with butterflies. It is also a love letter to Portugal, a country I have never thought of much but now desire to visit.

THE ROSE OF LISBON

I usually say I write historical fiction with romance, rather than romance set in historical times, for if romance is an essential part of all my books, they are more centred around the inner life of main characters. Happy endings are a must, as well as adding historical details to my work. This stems from my background as a professional historian.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Jane Austen is my greatest literary love, but my work has drawn bigger influence from Psychological Realism, or Psychological Fiction. This narrative style came to evidence in literature during the late 1800s. It prioritises the inner expression of characters through their mental and sentimental existence.
