At home, his life grows ever more chaotic with the arrival of his sisters. With them comes the governess, Rosana Menezes, and her eyes of the Atlantic will bring renewed torments to Albion’s heart. When her uncle, the Marquess, is made consul in Bristol, both families are entangled, creating moments of unusual caricatures, and bringing a twist of fate to Rosana’s life – with the important influence of the imponent family cat, Leodegrance.

Finding little joy in his world of elegant carriages, silk gloves, and grand estates, Albion begins to project a new existence. Yet for all his will to remain a bachelor, his heart cannot abandon the hope for a second chance.
